"My Name Is Woman"

Yahoo!!! It’s my birthday today!!! and I am not kidding!
And I am writing my first post !

I opened this blog in order to tell you more about what I paint and why...Today, I wanted to talk about my new collection of large portraits "My Name Is Woman".

The idea itself was old, I carried it all the way from 2000 when I studied Fashion Design in the college. I wanted to create a line which would be actually a mix of
jewellery and clothing. Some kind of anthem for being a mother, a wife and a woman together, for carrying all her responsibilities with dignity and pride. I was watching women in subway and I knew that in those few seconds I saw them in the background, there were periods of desperate multitasking - kids, husbands, houses, work, and despite everything,  women were coming and going on the subway and they were smiling... They were taking different trains, like they were taking different paths in life...but they were there - in the subway, on the road, in elevators - graceful, busy and ...happy.

I am happy with my path too. Now, that I am mother of two - my road becomes tougher, but I become stronger too. And I know you do too...

With my collection "My Name Is Woman" I wanted to tell everyone how proud I am of all women.

To all dedicated women - for your perseverance, with luminosity in your eyes, for tolerance with grace, for forgiveness with sincerity, for endurance with joy, for sensuality with loyalty, for generosity, for wisdom and beauty...   always beauty...
